| Peter Richard Tait |
1950 to 2002 aged: 52 From: Surrey
Peter Tait was my best mate. He was the breakfast show presenter on Magic 828 in Leeds and sadly lost his fight against a brain tumour in September 2002. He left us with a legacy of his humour and spirit and I think about him every day. We miss you Peetsie!
To be continued with photos and stories about this magic mate. |

| Too late! | 11th Oct 2007 |
| Gary Bates from Surrey relation: Fellow DJ and mate from 'the old days' |
I DJ'ed with Peter in the late 70's when we both worked the same Surrey clubs. He had a very distinctive voice and always wore a velvet jacket lol. Pete and I used to go off chasing the girls while Dale Winton was happy to spin the records. We all lost touch as we became more involved with our careers and families. I made an effort to try and contact all the 'old guys' some month's ago and was upset to hear about peter. R.I.P Pete. |
| YOU WERE HIS REAL FAMILY | 21st Sep 2007 |
| Paul from Wakefield relation: Best Mate |
Dear Debbie, James, Carly & Thomas - your tributes to Peter on here are wonderful. I want you to know just how much you meant to him - and the fact you were not just his LEEDS family - you WERE his family. His so called relations showed none of the love and care you all provided for him over the years but in particular when he needed it. And where were they when he really needed them?? YOU were always there - and it was often tough-but you stuck with him - to the end. I pray the Lord Bless you all for all you did for him. He would be SO proud of James, Carly & Thomas and I'm sure he's around watching over them. My thanks ALWAYS to you - his FAMILY for taking care of him. |

| James from Leeds relation: James-Leeds Family |
Peter will always be there no matter what, he will never be forgotten. He shined so much love into our family and he thought of us so much, going back to what my mum said he always wanted to do the best for all of us and he would take us to the most amazing theatre shows which were just so cool to go and see at a young age.
He would also like to come and collect us from school on an afternoon and we go to the park with the dog (Poppy) and he'd get her really excited and she be all hyper for the rest of the night.lol.
He really is missed in so many ways.

OUR PETER--THE BEST.we know that he is looking after all of us.we miss peter for an endless list of things but most of all just for him.peter introduced us to the theatre something that we had never experienced we remember one night many years ago one christmas eve he took us to manchester to see oliver the musical it was unbelievable the kids were sat there with this smile on ther face that said it all,and when we came out of the theatre it was snowing it was a lovely end to a lovely evening, one of many that we spent with peter. peter loved doing things for the kids he enjoyed every minute of it.we miss seeing you but as for your voice and your laughter we once recorded peter having fun with the kids on his dictaphone and we often listen to it to brighten up our days when we are feeling down. The list is endless of the things that we could thank peter for. we miss him more than anybody could ever know,he left a void in our lifes that nobody could ever fill, all our love always and forever debbie james carly and tom.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx |
